An implant
A dental implant is a titanium screw placed in the jawbone. It can support a replacement tooth, a bridge or a denture. The implant and the visible replacement tooth are different parts of the treatment.
A bridge or a denture
A bridge is a fixed replacement for missing teeth. A denture is a removable replacement for some or all of your teeth. These options work differently, so ask your dentist to explain what each would mean for you.
Your next conversation
Ask which options are suitable for your mouth and why, what each involves, and how you would look after it. A general guide cannot choose the right treatment for an individual.
